After three exhausting flights, I am finally back in Finland! I arrived yesterday, June 12, around 5:30pm. For me, all of these flights, especially the one to Helsinki seemed like a dream because I hadn't been back for so long. I can't believe I am actually here! Although, I am only here for 2 weeks, I know I will enjoy my time here and I can't wait to experience Finland all over again.
And so, for my first "official" day here, I got to eat some Sister Sausage Soup (this is how they translated the Finnish into English) and some yummy lättyjä as a late-night snack. I also enjoyed my first real sauna in a very long time. Let me tell you, there is nothing that compares to the saunas that they have here in Finland. I tried the one in my gym back in Texas and you cannot even throw water on the rocks! Anyways, to those of you reading, I hope you enjoy this first post and I am sure there will be many more to come. :)
